Louis Sognot adheres from his creation in 1930 to the Union of the Modern Artists, UAM, and realizes the next years with Charlotte Alix, the famous furniture of room for the Maharajah d' Indore. Active person within the framework of the reconstruction in particular in Boulogne sur Mer in association with Jacques Dumond, he is also recognized through his creations of furniture in rattan for the house Rougier. Louis Sognot develops in parallel, a partnership with the cabinet maker Rinck with whom he created a modern and precious furniture in the French tradition between two wars. Professor at the school Boulle and at the Ensad, he will exercise an important influence on the designers' young generation of the post-war years.
